School Orientation
Naomi's class did this for Eyan's class. They sang songs, did skits and danced. What a great way to welcome in the new kids.
At the very end of the show your class number is called you walk through the pretzel tunnel and take a tour of the school with your new teachers and classmates. The whole first week is getting to know the school, classes, and teachers.

Eyan
This year Eyan moved up to the big school. It was a difficult transition going; from super star status to not knowing any teachers or the way around a new building, taking the bus, new lunch system and finding the elective classes. He is now changing classes every hour and is one in about 900 kids.
Overwhelming after going to school a block away and knowing everyone by name.

Saturday Cartoons
We haven't had any TV for the last year. I was feeling generous the other day and tried figuring out the Satellite connection. It wasn't very hard, but I can only find the British channels. Looks like we'll be speaking British English and German.
But, what makes me most happy about all of this is that the 3 little boys are watching Saturday morning cartoons under quilts that I have made! I love that.

Cinnamon Pull-Aparts
The Dough
Yeast 2 TBS sugar 1 1/2 cups warm water
Let Rise
Add
1 egg
3 TBS oil
about 2 1/2 cups flour
Pre-heat oven to 350
Slowly mix in flour until you have made a ball of dough that is smooth. I kneed with my hands once most of the flour is mixed in.
When the dough is rising melt 1/2 cup butter in a bowl
In a separate bowl mix 1 cup sugar and 3 TBS Cinnamon Roll into balls
Roll balls in groups of 3-4 in a bowl of melted butter
Place balls in bowl with sugar and cinnamon mixture, roll until coated and place into baking pan I use a bunt pan, but you can use anything.
Cook about 35 minutes, until golden brown and enjoy!

Evening Walk
Summer is winding down, and the kids are going sturr crazy! They laugh crazy, cry, scream and drive each other mad. We can go from 0 to 60 in less than 4 seconds that's for sure.
So, to try and keep some peace we try and get out of the house, even if it's for a short walk.
Martin worked the 9-5 shift this week, so when he came home we went on a walk, the air is nice and cool, plus the kids can get out a bit of energy.
And I get to take pictures. One of my favorite things to do.
