Martin and Eyan spent most of the afternoon outside playing. They built a fort and a snow skull. There is over a foot on the ground and more is on its way.

Oh Christmas Tree. Oh Christmas Tree.
We took the sleds just up the street and got a Christmas Tree. It's a Blue Spruce I think. About 4.5 feet high, and beautiful. It was a breeze getting it home, but I can't even say what a pain it was putting it into the tree stand. If you have never gotten a Blue Spruce let me tell you it is one of the most sharp pine trees! What can one find while cleaning out an eight year old's backpack? Let me tell you. 1 brocken ruler. 2 smashed Oranges. Paper cut into strips. 4 Pencil sharpeners. Granola Bars. Pencil shavings. Clay. A small Cactus. Not even kidding. Half pencils. Erasers. And the list goes on. BUT, for now it's clean....

December 13
In our village we had a Christmas Market and the kindergarten sang a few songs. As you can see from the picture it was cold and we are all bundled up. Silus is in the bright red jacket clapping and Naomi is behind him. Almost every city has a Christmas market, where crafters set up and sell all kinds of stuff. You can also have a glass of the famous Gluwein or all kinds of other treats. Gluwein is a warm spiced wine. (Glow Wine) And you will be glowing after a mug! Did I mention how much I like it?
